Textile art covers a broad spectrum. My work represents a journey to create a form completely different from most textile art.
Layers of hand dyed, painted, silk screened fabric and occasionally paper, are all stitched together on a firm surface. Sturdy like a canvas, but not a canvas. Mounted to be dimensional.
Not quilts, not paintings, but something in between, something more unusual. But still grounded in the tactile quality of textiles.
